Privacy
The short version: no cookies, no ads, no tracking of individuals, and we never ask for information about your children.
Who we are
My Garden Songs is run by Cairo Garden in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about your information, email [email protected].
Visiting this website
This website sets no cookies. To see which pages are popular and how quickly they load, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits anonymously without cookies and without following individual people across the web. Like every website, our host (Cloudflare) briefly processes technical information such as your IP address so it can deliver pages to you and keep the site secure.
Videos. Our video player only loads when you press play. It uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube sets no cookies before then. Once a video plays, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Fonts. Our fonts are stored on our own website, so no font service sees your visit.
Our email newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address only. We use it to send you new songs, colouring pages and gentle ideas, about once a month. We never ask for your child’s name, age or any information about your child.
- Why we can email you: because you asked us to (your consent). You confirm your sign-up by clicking a link in a confirmation email.
- Who stores it: our newsletter is run by our email provider, which stores your address on our behalf and only uses it to send our emails. We name the provider here once the newsletter is live.
- How to leave: every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we’ll remove you.
- How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe. We then delete your address or keep it only on a suppression list so you are not emailed again.
Polls, “This helped” buttons and questions
When you vote in a poll or tap “This helped”, we store a one-way scrambled code made from your connection, so each person can only vote once. We never store your IP address, and the code can’t be turned back into it. Your browser also remembers on your device that you’ve voted.
If you send us a question, we store the question and, only if you give it, your email address so we can reply. We may publish questions anonymously with an answer. Please don’t include your child’s name or other personal details. We delete questions we don’t use, and every question and email address is deleted automatically after 180 days.
Colour & Sing
Our Colour & Sing colouring toy keeps children’s pictures and the grown-ups’ settings (time limit and sound) on your own device only, in your browser’s storage. Nothing is sent to us, and there are no accounts and no cookies. To remove everything, choose “Clear my pictures” in the grown-ups’ corner, or clear this website’s data in your browser settings.
If you email us or share with us
If you email us or tag us on social media, we only use what you send to reply to you. We will only share your photos or videos with your permission.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent at any time. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
