Five Little Pots
What do you plant in five little pots? A counting and colours planting song.

About this song
Five Little Pots counts down from five pots to one, planting something lovely in each: juicy tomatoes in the red pot, sweet cucumbers in the green pot, crunchy carrots in the orange pot, peppers ("not the hot peppers!") in the yellow pot, and pink and yellow flowers in the blue pot.
The children's chorus asks the question and the lead voice answers, so the song doubles as a colours lesson and a counting lesson — and ends with the proud recap: now we have a garden!
What it teaches: Counting down, colours, vegetable names, question-and-answer singing.

Five Little Pots - Lyrics
What do you plant
In five little pots?
What do you plant
In five little pots?
What do you plant
In five little pots
To have a lovely garden?
I will plant tomatoes
Lovely juicy tomatoes
I will plant tomatoes
In this lovely red pot
What do you plant
In four little pots?…
I will plant cucumbers
Lovely sweet cucumbers
I will plant cucumbers
In this lovely green pot
What do you plant
In three little pots?…
I will plant carrots
Lovely crunchy carrots
I will plant carrots
In this lovely orange pot
What do you plant
In two little pots?…
I will plant peppers
(Not the hot peppers!)
I will plant peppers
In this lovely yellow pot
What do you plant
In this last pot?…
I will plant flowers
Pink and yellow flowers
I will plant flowers
In this lovely blue pot
Tomatoes! Cucumbers! Carrots! Peppers! Flowers!
Five little pots —
Now we have a garden!
