Days of the Week
Seven days, seven garden jobs. Sing them, shout them back, then stamp, clap and dance.

About this song
Days of the Week gives every day its own garden job, so the order is easy to remember: Monday is Mango day, Tuesday is Juice day, Wednesday is Watering day, Thursday asks where to play, Friday is Fun day, Saturday is Strawberry day and Sunday is Sleepy day.
The song goes round three times. First everyone sings the days together. Then one voice calls each day and the answer comes back. In the last round it is the children’s turn to shout the answers. A stamp, clap and dance break sits in the middle, and the song ends by looping back to Monday.
What it teaches: The seven days in order, call and response, listening and joining in, stamping and clapping to a beat
