About this song
Hide and Seek is the game every toddler already knows. Rosy hides her eyes against the apple tree and counts to ten while the others hide (no peeking!). Then the search begins: one wrong guess, a cheeky “No!”, and a little giveaway, like Poppy’s yellow hat poking out of the compost bin.
Halfway through, Lilly shouts “My turn!” and the game starts again. The song teaches counting, hiding places (behind, in, inside) and taking turns, and it ends the way the real game always does: again, again, again!
What it teaches: Counting to ten, position words (behind, in, inside), taking turns, listening for quiet and loud

Hide and Seek - Lyrics
Let’s play hide and seek
You all hide, and I will seek
Don’t make a sound
And do not peep
(Sshh!)
One, two, three
(No peeking!)
Four, five, six
(Sshh!)
Seven, eight, nine, ten
Ready or not, here I come
Where is Lilly? Where is Lilly?
Is she hiding somewhere silly?
(No!)
Here she is, behind the tree
Behind the apple tree
FOUND YOU! (giggles)
Where is Poppy then? Where is Poppy then?
Is she not hiding again?
(No!)
I can see a yellow hat!
In the compost bin
FOUND YOU! (giggles)
MY TURN!
Let’s play hide and seek
You all hide, and I will seek
Don’t make a sound
And do not peep
(Sshh!)
One, two, three
(No peeking!)
Four, five, six
(Sshh!)
Seven, eight, nine, ten
Ready or not, here I come
Where is Rosy? Where is Rosy?
Is she hiding somewhere cosy?
Is she behind the door?
(No!)
In the shed
FOUND YOU! (giggles)
Where is Diggy Dots? Where is Diggy Dots?
Is he hiding in one of these pots?
I can see a stripey nose!
In a pot
FOUND YOU! (giggles)
Again!
(Again!) Again!
Again, again, again!
(Again!)
