About this song
Halloween Pumpkins Song starts with a small, wobbly voice: “I don’t like it, it’s scary.” “Don’t worry, it’s fine!” Then the friends follow their pumpkins all the way through the year in the allotment: planting them, picking them, scooping them out, eating them and, at last, watching one glow.
It is a colours song too. Pumpkins really do come in orange, white, green and even blue-grey, and each colour gets its own verse. The hook is easy to join in with, so try a pat, pat, clap, clap, clap on every “pumpkins”. By the end, the scared voice has changed its mind: “I like it now, it’s not scary!”
